God, Country, Family

God, Family and Country. Liberty (Free) and Freedom (Independence).

I grew up in a patriotic family. My brothers served in the Military, as did my husband. My son is currently serving in the Navy. He and our daughter-in-law are teaching our grandsons to be patriotic.

We have watched our country change in what seems an overnight transition from a country united, to a country divided. We have allowed others to influence our thinking.

We are divided as a nation because we are no longer worshiping God and remembering that He is our creator and His power is the only power on earth that can change us or save us.

I am ashamed, hurt, mystified and concerned that the voters of this great country have lost sight of what is real and what is important. We do not need, nor should we want, a rock star for President of the United States of America. We must have a strong, God-fearing man who has the integrity, foresight, knowledge, wisdom, courage, and stamina to lead America out of the mire we currently find ourselves in. We also must have a President who will appoint this same brand of people for his Cabinet. We must have a President who will uphold the United States Constitution as he promises he will do when sworn in as President of the United States of America.

I am astounded that Russian President Vladimir Putin, a known Communist and former KGB member (I doubt former), is setting foreign policy for the United States of America.

We live in a troubled world, a world of hate, envy, want of money and power; a world of destructive means, i.e.,

chemical weapons; bombs; drones; legalized marijuana; allowing government to remove prayer in school;

allowing government to not let parents be notified if their underage daughter gets an abortion or takes the morning after pill; abortions; gay marriages;

allowing the removal of crosses from various places; allowing government to remove Christ from a military chaplain’s prayer; allowing government to decimate our military; allowing government to label a terrorist attack on an American Military Base as “workplace violence” rather than labeling it a terrorist attack, and not allowing the killed and wounded families to get the benefits that are rightfully theirs;

allowing government to feed your child; allowing government to implement studies at your child’s school that are harmful to your child; allowing government to tell you what your child can or cannot eat or drink;

allowing government to tell you what health care you can or cannot have, resulting in businesses having to close down, or, shorten hours in the work week thus having a negative effect on workers;

allowing government to take over an automobile industry; allowing government to take over college loans;

allowing government to take over the banking industry; allowing government to take over the mortgage industry;

allowing government to “give you” all the goodies you want but you have not worked to earn (Welfare);

allowing government to tax you until you have little left for your family to live on;

allowing government to use corn from a field to make fuel, taking food from a person’s mouth;

allowing government to make a decision not to complete a gas pipeline even though the people in the states that would be affected are in favor of the pipeline, thus keeping jobs at bay among other detrimental consequences;

allowing government to stop oil companies from drilling on American soil, while the government partners with a Communist country giving them billions of dollars of OUR money to help them drill;

allowing government to implement rules on coal companies that are so expensive the companies have to go out of business, thus taking away jobs from people among other detrimental consequences;

allowing government to sell arms to the drug cartel in Mexico so American gun shops will be blamed for the violence thus boosting our government to rid Americans of our Constitutional right to bear arms – this action resulting in the death (by use of one of these guns) of a Border Patrol Agent and thousands of innocent victims;

allowing government to declare the term “illegal immigrants” should no longer be used, but rather, “undocumented immigrants”;

allowing government to replace the word “terrorism” with “man-caused disaster”;

allowing government to align itself with the union bosses to use thuggery to sway elections and legislation;

allowing government to empower the EPA to implement regulations on businesses, going around Congress to do so, that hinders the operation of said business;

allowing government to use the IRS to punish Conservative groups requesting tax exemption before an election, and using cover up antics to keep Congress from its investigation into said illegal practice;

allowing government to cover up investigations into the killing of an American Ambassador and three (3) American citizens in Benghazi; etc.

There are so many more issues we face from our government today, and these issues seem to increase daily.

But, I submit to you the real enemy is not of this world. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

We are currently starting the campaign season for the 2014 elections. Information matters. Truth matters. Votes matter.

When a law is passed in Congress, a liberty and a freedom are either lost or affected.

When the President uses his privilege to write an Executive Order, a liberty and a freedom are either lost or affected.

When the Supreme Court makes a ruling, a liberty and a freedom are either lost or affected.

When we allow a group of people to make enough noise to get their way, even when their wishes go against the majority of American citizens’ beliefs or wishes, a liberty and a freedom are either lost or affected.

For every decision made in Washington, D.C., or in any capital city in the United States, a liberty and a freedom are either lost or affected.

Every time you make a decision, someone’s life is either lost or affected.

At the end of your life, what will you leave behind? Will you leave a legacy of love, respect, dignity, honor, good character, good work ethics, fighting for what is right, all of which can be handed down through generations?

Or, will you leave a legacy of laziness that produced nothing of value, leaving anger; hate; drugging your mind into uselessness and degradation; envy; leaving children that you do not take care of; abandoning your responsibilities; looking for an easy way out; dropping out of school; poor judgment; ill-mannered behavior; disrespectful attitude; selfishness; all of which can be handed down through generations?

Life is awesome. Life is difficult. Life happens. Life ends. We all die. What will you leave behind?
