Representative Burgess was interviewed on CBS 11 today regarding Congress’ recess (via Congressman Michael Burgess’ blog). I believe Congressman Burgess is representing his constituents well.
As a sister to a Marine that was killed on Chosin Reservoir (the Frozen Chosin), I add my thanks to all the veterans of the Korean War, especially my dear friend, Watson Crumbie.
My brother, Herbert McClelland, was in the 1st Marine Division, 7th Regiment, 2nd Battalion, Company F. He was killed on 8 December 1950; buried in Korea 13 December 1950; family was notified 26 December 1950; then, on 1 February 1955, his body was returned home for final burial.
The Korean War may be the forgotten war to many, but it will never be forgotten by me or my family.
God bless all of you who served in the coldest war in history. You are so very special.
